10 MISTAKES TO AVOID IF YOU WANT TO PASS YOUR DRIVING TEST

Passing a driving test may sound like the most difficult task to some, while others pass this test with little or no difficulty. Like any other test, there are certain rules and regulations which one must abide by in order to prove your driving skills to the examiner. We have created a list of 10 common mistakes which must be avoided to Pass your driving test.

  1. Drive too fast or too slow

Keeping an eye on speed signs and following accordingly is key. By going too slow you can disturb the traffic flow and by going too fast you would prove that you are not a safe driver.

  1. Change lanes without signaling

While driving, it is very important to inform other drivers/pedestrians about your upcoming turns. If you change lanes without signaling then this could lead to an accident!

  1. Don’t check mirrors regularly

A good driver is one who is alert and keeps himself aware of his surroundings. Therefore checking all mirrors at regular intervals is a must to Pass your driving test.

  1. Don’t read or follow road and speed signs

Not following speed signs can affect yours as well as other drivers safety and in the longer run can impact your pocket heavily in the shape of hefty fines.

  1. Don’t check for pedestrians

The Canadian roads are pedestrian friendly, especially in summer time. Failure to ensure pedestrian safety will lead to failure in obtaining your driving license.

  1. Brake too hard and too often

Sudden braking leads to jolts and can cause serious injuries if the car behind you fails to match your speed.

  1. Be nervous and get confused

The major cause of failing a driving test is anxiety and confusion. There is no doubt that confident drivers outperform nervous drivers.

  1. Don’t perform shoulder check

Failure to check shoulder can result in a major accident. One should never make a turn without a shoulder check.

  1. Park in a wrong/prohibited area

While parking the car, make sure that the selected parking spot is permissible/ is not close to any fire hydrant/ is not time sensitive or reserved for any particular category. Reading parking signs is mandatory.

  1. Make wide turns

If you make a wide turn, it will affect the traffic in other lanes and can lead to an accident! Keep an eye on your lane and make turns within the boundaries of your lanes.

The above mentioned errors are the most common mistakes leading to driving test failure.
